Ayesha Iqbal is the founding Executive Director of Alif Se Insaiyat based in Karachi, Pakistan. She formed the organization to empower the marginalized communities and improve the access to education and health facilities. Barrister Iqbal also routinely meets with partners, grantees, government representatives and various organizations to further the Foundation’s goal of improving equity in Pakistan and across the world.
She has a vast experience in teaching law and has also been the Director Law Programme at a University of London LLB (Hons) Programme, Recognised Teaching Centre spearheading the law programme. She has also been an integral member in creating economic opportunities for women in rural areas and creating educational access for young girls in remote areas. With financing and overseeing of building of all girls’ school in the district of Sanghar, Sindh, Pakistan, Barrister Iqbal has encouraged families to send their young girls to schools to receive basic education in a protected and safe environment in line with the customs and traditions of those localities.
